Do I need to make an Appointment?
Appointments are encouraged, so that we may provide all desired services promptly. However, we will make every effort to accommodate walk-in clients.
What times are appointments available?
Bangkok Day Spa is open for business every day from 9:30am to 10pm. For massage appointments, the last available time each day will be 9pm, depending on schedule availability.
Can I combine services during one session?
Yes. Bangkok Day Spa offers combination massages in 60 minute or 90 minute increments. These massages combine your choice of a relaxing Swedish massage, Stone massage, Thai massage, Aromatherapy massage, Deep tissue, Shiatsu, or you can either do Body massage and Reflexology massage. Our massages can be customized to your preference. We also offer combination body scrubs and massages in 90 minute and 2 hour sessions.
What is a reflexology massage?
Reflexology massages (foot massages) are based on the principle that effective body work affecting bones, organs, and body systems may be applied through massaging different channels through the feet, hands, and ears. Most of a reflexology massage is performed on client's bare feet.
Do you offer couples massages?
Yes, we do offer couples massages with an appointment. We can accommodate side by side massages for couples for the same charge as two individual massages. Walk-ins are also welcome, but we encourage you to make an appointment ahead of time.
What is the charge for a massage?
Most of our massages cost $60 for a one hour treatment. However, we also charge $90 for a 90 minute massage, $39 for a 30 minute massage, and $29 for a 30 minute reflexology massage.
What is the standard tip for spa services?
The massage therapists here are independent and are required by the State of California and San Diego City laws and regulations to pay significant fees, taxes, and other expenses not covered completely by the pricing of the massage. The massage therapists work hard with each massage to provide excellent service for each and every customer, so here are minimum tip suggestions:
30 minutes: $5+
1 hour: $10+
1.5 hours: $15+
2 hours: $25+
2.5 hours: $30+
What should I wear during a massage?
Most massage treatments require direct contact with the skin, so clients will be given privacy to strip their clothes, with undergarments optional. Sheets and towels will remain draped over private parts for the duration of treatment. The exception is the Reflexology massage in which the client will only remove shoes and socks.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, Bangkok Day Spa accepts all major credit cards.
Are your massage therapists certified?
Yes.
Are your massage therapists male or female?
Bangkok Day Spa employs both male and female practitioners. If you have a preference, please mention it when making an appointment and we will make every effort to accommodate.
Where can I park?
Bangkok Day Spa has street parking only but meters are free after 8pm. There are also many parking lots in downtown including Park-It-On-Market which is located on the corner of 6th and Market, valet parking located on Market street between 5th and 6th Avenue, and two hours free at Horton Plaza with purchase at Jimbo’s.
